Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

Spencer is a relational psychodynamic therapist, utilizing insight and awareness to help his clients understand the core conflicts that seek resolution in their lives. Particular areas of focus are anxiety, depression, life transitions and confusion, and self-esteem.

Spencer accompanies his clients to gain insight about their relationship patterns and make changes that help build their capacity to enjoy life’s pleasures and endure life’s hardships. By better knowing and understanding ourselves, we can meet life with more vitality, hope and self-compassion.

Spencer received his bachelor’s degree at University of San Francisco, majoring in Theology and Religious Studies and his Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University. His clinical experience includes in-depth training in psychodynamic therapy at Southern California Counseling Center where he saw individuals and couples.

Spencer is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist registered by the CA Board of Behavioral Sciences (#128875). At Silver Lake Psychotherapy he is supervised by Dr. Justin Shubert (PSY 23766). Spencer is in the final stages of his training and expects to be licensed around Summer of 2024.
