Justin Shubert, Psy.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Justin Shubert received his Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University, his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology, and his PhD in Psychoanalysis from The New Center for Psychoanalysis. Dr. Shubert has offered psychotherapy in a variety of settings including The Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center, Las Encinas Hospital in Pasadena, and The Saturday Center for Psychotherapy in Santa Monica.
Dr. Shubert enjoys teaching and has been a faculty member at The New Center for Psychoanalysis, Los Angeles Institute and Society for Psychoanalysis, and the Wright Institute Los Angeles, and taught courses at The Maple Center in Los Angeles and The Saturday Center in Santa Monica. He has presented at various venues ranging from The Santa Monica Public Library to The International Psychoanalytic Association on topics such as Neuroscience and Gender & Sexuality.
Dr. Shubert is the former chair of the American Psychoanalytic Association's Committee on Gender and Sexuality as well as a founding member of the Committee for Diversities and Sociocultural Issues at the New Center for Psychoanalysis and the past Diversity Editor of The American Psychoanalyst. Dr. Shubert is licensed as a Clinical Psychologist by the California State Board of Psychology (PSY-23766).
