Shain Miller, Psy.D.
Dr. Shain Miller believes that by understanding complex, deeply seated emotional and relational issues, we can reduce symptoms, decrease distress, and create meaningful change.
Dr. Miller received her bachelor degree from New York University and her Doctorate degree from Ryokan College. She completed pre-doctoral training at the Los Angeles LGBT Center in Hollywood, working extensively with the LGBTQ community, and also serving a range of clients with chronic mental illness and a full range of diagnoses.
Dr. Miller's post-doctoral training fellowship was at the Rose City Center in Pasadena, where she provided psychoanalytic psychotherapy. She also has experience providing group therapy for clients in recovery, and those with co-occurring disorders. She has comprehensive training in trauma, intimate partner violence, and infant/early childhood and parent psychotherapy. She enjoys working with trauma, relationships, anxiety, depression, and life transitions.
Dr. Miller is licensed by the California Board of Psychology, PSY-27312.
Dr. Miler is an independent practitioner and not an employee of Silver Lake Psychotherapy. Therefore, she is solely responsible for all matters concerning your clinical care and all questions about your care should be addressed with her directly.
