Richard Friedman, Ph.D.




Dr. Richard Friedman received his Bachelor’s degree from New York University and his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. He has provided psychotherapy in a number of settings including Valley Community Clinic, Airport Marina Counseling Service, and the private practice of Yvonne Miller, Ph.D. in Pasadena.

Dr. Friedman has trained primarily in psychoanalytic and family systems psychotherapies, two orientations that he has found to be complementary and mutually informative. He works with adults, couples, children, and families and specializes in working with those who struggle with severe and persistent mental illness. 

Dr. Friedman is licensed as a Clinical Psychologist by the California State Board of Psychology (PSY-27900).
